Training — FSJ Product — 2025

Training that fitsin a pocket

A micro-learning card system that turns dense business concepts into prompts a team can use in the meeting they are already in.

The FSJ Training Card Deck — box and two cards from the Clarity set

Deliverables

  • Learning system design
  • Card concept and copy
  • Facilitation formats

The challenge

Corporate training has a retention problem that everybody knows about and few designs around. Two days of intensive content produces a week of enthusiasm and then a slow return to the old way of working, because nothing about the day changed what happens in the meetings that follow it.

The thinking

If the goal is behaviour rather than knowledge, the format has to survive contact with a normal working week. That points away from long sessions and towards small, structured prompts placed where decisions are made. Each idea needed the same three-part shape — what it is, why it matters, how to use it — so that picking up any card felt familiar within seconds.

The work

A deck of cards, each distilling one concept from behavioural insight and commercial practice into that fixed structure. They work as a standalone tool, as a workshop mechanic, and as a leadership development aid — shuffled into a meeting agenda or worked through in sequence.

The result

A scalable learning product rather than a service that only exists when FSJ is in the room, and a consistent vocabulary teams can use with each other after the training has ended.

The constraint that made the format work was the card itself. Anything that cannot be said on one card is either two ideas or a badly understood one.
