Training — FSJ Programme — 2026

Four specialists, two days, one stronger business

Designing an SME programme around the four things that actually break a small business, rather than the four things easiest to teach.

Deliverables

  • Programme design and curriculum
  • Facilitator curation
  • Participant workbooks
  • Registration and delivery

The challenge

SME training tends to arrive one discipline at a time. A marketing workshop here, a finance seminar there, each excellent in isolation and none of them aware of the others. Owners leave with four sets of advice that quietly contradict each other, and no sense of which problem to fix first.

The thinking

A small business rarely fails for one reason. It fails where clarity, people, sales and money meet — an unclear proposition sold by an unmanaged team through a channel nobody measures, priced without knowing the margin. If those four are connected in the business, they should be connected in the room. So rather than a single facilitator covering four subjects adequately, we brought four practitioners to cover their own subject properly, and sequenced them so each one builds on the last.

The work

Two days. Day one establishes the foundation — business clarity and brand positioning, then people and performance. Day two builds the commercial engine — digital sales strategy, then finance for growth. Each module ends in worksheets rather than slides, and every participant leaves with the FSJ SME Marketing Starter Pack to carry the work forward.

The result

A repeatable flagship programme that gives owners a diagnosis as well as a curriculum: by the end of day two they can name which of the four dimensions is currently holding the business back, and what to do about it first.

The sequencing is the design. Clarity comes first because you cannot hire against a proposition you have not defined, and finance comes last because pricing decisions only make sense once you know what you sell, who delivers it and how it reaches the customer.
